I'm currently recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a dynamic team on the HS2 project in Birmingham. This is a critical role that ensures the safe and effective planning, design, and implementation of temporary works on one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination: Manage and oversee all temporary works on the HS2 project site, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Planning and Design: Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop temporary works schemes, ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections and audits of temporary works to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all temporary works activities, including designs, inspections, and approvals.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for temporary works on site, liaising with the project team, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to temporary works in a timely and effective manner.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training to site staff on temporary works procedures and best practices.

**Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator on major infrastructure projects, preferably in rail or construction.
  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering or construction management qualifications. A valid CSCS card is essential.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of temporary works design, management, and implementation. Familiarity with HS2 standards and regulations is advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Safety Focus: Strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to promote a safety-first culture on site.
