Trust: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full time, Monday - Friday, either 8:30am-4:30pm, totalling 37.5 hours a week (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: £21.80/Hr.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:
The post holder would be working within the Unified Communications section of the Network and Voice Team. This is a dedicated team delivering 3rd and 2nd Line support and technical advancements to clinicians, directly affecting patient care within a department at the forefront on IT innovation within the NHS. The role will involve supporting end user requirements, providing and delivering the highest possible telecoms support and maintaining/developing the Trust Digital Cisco Telephony System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide 2nd Line Unified Communications support within an IT Infrastructure which utilises Cisco and Microsoft Technologies along with supporting the running of an effective Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure including user management.
  • Be responsible for setting up and maintaining UCCX scripts, documents and users within the Trust by meeting with service users on a one to one or group level to ascertain and interpret requirements and produce flowcharts which could then be agreed with users for implementation.
  • Act as a specialist in the VoIP telecoms field documenting, setting up and delivering complex telephony set ups for GP/BFT telecoms service users.
  • Experience Operating in a virtual desktop environment with virtualised applications.
  • Provide first time fixes and resolutions to simple ICT related incidents and requests where appropriate via telephone and face to face.
  • Assist in the production and maintenance of the telephony documentation and system.

Experience:

  • Significant experience of resolving faults on telephone systems and cabling along with experience of working in an IT customer support environment and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 Devices to enable users.
  • Support the identification and resolution of service incidents and problems, co-ordinating resolution with third party suppliers and senior engineers as appropriate.
  • Extensive Knowledge/Experience of maintaining and supporting Cisco Unified Communication Manager V.10 or above.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager v.10 or above, Cisco Unity, UCCX, Cisco IM & Presence (Jabber), and Cisco Video Conferencing (Webex).
  • Knowledge of SIP / MGCP / SCCP / QSiG Signalling Protocols.
  • Active Directory - Awareness and administration skills.
  • Windows 10 - For Troubleshooting softphones etc, laptop and tablet experience.

Requirements:

  • Valid U.K. Driving License.
  • Be prepared to travel within the Trust geographical area as required by the role.
  • Cisco CCNA Voice desirable.
  • Project Management qualification (Prince 2) or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • ITIL accreditation at Foundation level (or Higher) certification desirable.
