Our Client a leading international art gallery specialising in modern and contemporary art with two locations in London, showcasing art from emerging and established artists are looking for experienced, proactive and dedicated Art Installation Technicians for their London galleries.
Job responsibilities:
- Hanging artwork using a variety of installation methods on various wall compositions
- Handling all artwork and installations carefully and with due consideration
- Packing and unpacking artwork for onward shipping, including crates
- Stock management
- Administration of artwork using database (training provided)
- Logging and reporting any damaged pieces whether damaged in the gallery or before arrival
- Delivering art to customer sites
- Gallery appearance and daily maintenance/re-hanging as needed
It may be necessary to work weekends and/or long hours on occasion.
Qualifications
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE HANDLED, HUNG AND INSTALLED ARTWORK PREVIOUSLY, WE CANNOT CONSIDER CANDIDATES WITHOUT THIS EXPERIENCE, OF AT LEAST 3 YEARS.
Ideally candidates will have achieved an "A" level standard of education at a minimum.
Additional Information
Candidates must be qualified to work within the UK and must be able to travel occasioinally internationally to carry out installations.
A Driving licence is extremely beneficial but not essential.
Knowledge of, and qualifications in, using forklift trucks, WAV machines and other warehouse machinery is useful.
