We are currently seeking multiple skilled and experienced CNC Turners to join a dynamic engineering team. Our client, a leading company in the engineering industry, is looking for individuals with proven expertise in setting and programming CNC machines. These positions have become available due to promotion within the team into Production Engineering roles, proving the opportunities for development and progression within this impressive business.
Salary: £38,500
Responsibilities:
- Set up and programme CNC machines to produce high-quality components
- Work with tight tolerances and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate and precise machining
- Use a wide range of measuring equipment to verify product quality and adherence to specifications
- Follow Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Control Plans to ensure safety and efficiency
- Perform setting and operating duties within specified target times
- Read and edit existing CNC programmes to optimise output and quality
- Monitor tooling for wear, adjust offsets, or replace as necessary
- Complete all inspection requirements in line with Control Plan instructions
- Identify and report any non-conforming components, following the relevant SOP
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with expertise in setting and programming
- Strong knowledge of working to tight tolerances and interpreting technical drawings
- Proficiency in using a wide range of measuring equipment for quality control
- Familiarity with Risk Assessments, SOPs, and Control Plans
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make adjustments as necessary
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
