Are you an experienced DT Technician looking for a role to start in September 2024? Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Full Time DT Technician to work in a Maghull secondary school. The role is a temporary, full-time position (36 hours a week) which has the potential to be made permanent.
The role:
- Design Technology Technician
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons
- Ensuring safety and maintenance of workshop equipment
- Assisting students with their projects, offering guidance and technical support
- Collaborating with teaching staff
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
The school:
- 11-18 Maghull secondary school
- Mixed school
- 1200+ students on roll
The essentials:
- A passion for design technology
- Strong technical skills, with knowledge of tools, machinery, and materials used in design technology.
- A proactive and supportive approach to working with students and teachers.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment
- Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
- Full and complete career history
- Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
- Legal right to work in the UK
