Assistant Vice President CHAPS CRM

About the role

Clearing & Payments department supports the bank in a back office capacity, supporting the bank's operational processing for various banking product, working with retail branches and front office teams to support London Branch and Subsidiary customers. As an Assistant Vice President - CHAPS CRM, you will be responsible to support the team to take actions required as a Direct Participant of CHAPS. You will be experienced in managing regulatory reporting projects including but not limited to CHAPS annual attestation. Project management experience including network management, management reporting and problem solving skills are essential in this role. You will also be experienced across a full range of risk types and will be able to support the first line of defence (1LoD) in discovering, detecting, documenting, managing and mitigating risks. This is a full time permanent role.

Key responsibilities

  • Document appropriate controls based on regulatory needs and assessing the effectiveness of such controls by conducting control testing
  • Assist to discover, detect, document, manage and mitigate CHAPS related full range of risk types across 1LoD
  • Maintain and apply RACI and Assumptions for the CHAPS Attestation Working Group and Project Steering Committee Complete CHAPS Compliance analysis, thus developing suitable controls and remediation action
  • Prepare CHAPS questionnaire responses and Compliance Certificate
  • Ensure the capture of statistical information and evidencing for reporting and MI purposes
  • Represent and attend relevant internal committee meetings relevant to CHAPS and CRM
  • Ensure close monitoring of all CHAPS and regulatory changes
  • Regularly review, revise and document established related business procedures
  • Uphold high customer satisfaction standards
  • Coordinating across the three line of defences to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Establish a professional and mutually beneficial working relationship with cross functional teams to ensure the Bank can achieve business targets set by Head Office

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting or other equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge and solid experience within the Financial Services sector processing payments within the UK using CHAPS and SWIFT
  • Competent with all relevant legislations such as Consumer Duty, FCA and PRA regulations
  • Knowledge of three lines of defence (3LoD) model
  • Risk and controls experience is preferred
  • Project Management experience, qualification such as Prince2 is a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word and Access skills
  • A problem solver, someone who can use their initiative to achieve and drive the team forward
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment, whilst being able to deliver high quality
