Transport Planner

We are looking for an experienced Route Planner/ Transport Planner (UK routes) to work for a busy event Hire company in their brand new modern Head Office on the outskirts of Dartford

(Due to the nature of the business this role will require someone who is happy working 5 days a week - but over a 7 day period - **see below for shift rota's etc )

This is a brand new role with lots of potential as the company expands, and an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make an impressions and be part of a great, established team

This role will require someone who has worked in a similar role, such as; transport planner, route planning, logistics planning, as you will hit the ground running in this role, working alongside all the various heads of departments, including the Warehouse Manager, Transport Manager, Stock Manager, Drivers and logistic staff & of course Clients, along with the other UK hubs to oversee planning and forecasting of deliveries, delivery issues or delays, re- routing loads to get to destination within timescales and also considering the return of goods back to relevant depot

Utilising & optimise transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery and collection of stock & also utilise route planning software to maximise efficiency and minimise fuel consumption.

The delivery schedule is 24/7 every day of the year so flexibility and the ability to think on your feet is essential and be a problem solver and solutions provider, along with a great communicator to meet the business demands.

Events are held all over the UK, stock must be there on time and minimising any delays to clients to meet their demands for the shows and events

Skills & Experience

Essential proven working experience in similar role or industry such as ; Route Planner, Transport Planner, Logistics Planner, Route Coordinator, Engineer Coordinator, logistics, transport , Freight Forwarder, Removals or similar

  • · Proficiency in route planning software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Location and Compensation:

Salary & Benefits

£30k circa ; Full-time, Permanent work in the office

  • *Example Rota;

Hours of work will be between 6.00am - 3.00pm Upto 11.00 - 7.00pm

5 days working over 7 days - Monday to Sunday

Rota will be given in advance

Some on call maybe required - but this would be from home on O/T to keep in contact with Drivers
