We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team, offering a pivotal role in managing purchasing documentation and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in finance or accounts purchase ledger teams.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Monitor and proactively manage purchasing documentation.
- Resolve invoice queries in a timely manner through effective communication with suppliers and internal managers.
- Allocate cash and produce accurate financial reports.
- Provide end-of-month reports, reconcile supplier statements, and perform bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and timely filing of invoices and associated documents.
- Foster good working relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.
- Report on aged debtors and creditors, maintaining daily financial controls, reporting, and compliance.
- Process a high volume of purchase ledger invoices and correct any anomalies.
- Assist dealership staff with various duties throughout the financial year, including collating financial information as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Experience within a finance or accounts purchase ledger team.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulae.
- Competent time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- A ‘can-do' approach to problem-solving and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and efficiently use related technologies.
- Well-presented with the ability to promote company and brand values.
