National Account Manager

As the National Account Manager for Sourcing and Purchasing, you will be responsible for managing and expanding key supplier accounts. This role involves evaluating current suppliers, exploring growth opportunities, and driving the procurement of waste oils and fats. Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships will be crucial, as will ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.

Our client are experts in the oils industry with a wide range of cooking oils & fats supplied to all food industries, committed to reducing global carbon emissions, the collection of the waste oils and food waste are recycled and processed to convert these materials into biofuels, Sustainable Aviation fuel, HVO, and other energy generation markets, contributing to a sustainable future.

Description

  • Management of Current Suppliers: Evaluate and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
  • New Business & Negotiation: Identify and secure new growth opportunities through the procurement of waste oils and fats.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms for the company.
  • Market Pricing Analysis: Analyse market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Onboarding: Ensure the smooth onboarding of new suppliers, aligned with company standards.
  • Reporting: Regularly update and report on supplier performance and account status.
  • Supplier Database Management: Maintain and manage an up-to-date supplier database.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal requirements such as ISCC or Red Cert.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the management of company assets related to sourcing and purchasing.

Profile

  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Preferably a background in the food industry.
  • Proven experience in Purchasing & Supplier Management
  • Experience in Sales, Business Development, and Account Management an advantage
  • Personable, friendly, and trustworthy with a strong focus on relationship-building.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with finance, transport, commercial, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Knowledge preferred but not essential of legal compliance requirements, particularly ISCC or Red Cert.
