£25,000 - £40,000 DOE

Monday to Friday: 8am – 4pm (37.5 hours)

Fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturing business as a Buyer in East Kent. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Duties for this role include:

  • Negotiating with suppliers on products and contract reviews.
  • Finding new suppliers and growing the business.
  • Analysing inventory and sales levels.
  • Optimising the supply chain.
  • Liaising with customers and updating them on their order progress.
  • Maximising and improving service levels; ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.
  • Liaising this custom clearance agents for overseas deliveries.
  • Completing import and export documentation.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Previous experience working in a similar buying/purchasing role within manufacturing.
  • CIPS qualified or equivalent is desirable.
  • Strong and varied negotiation skills.
  • Detail orientated with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient using Excel.
  • Due to the location of the role, you will need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

The successful candidate will be joining a strong workforce where employees tend to stay with the business for decades due to the company culture.
