£25,000 - £40,000 DOE
Monday to Friday: 8am – 4pm (37.5 hours)
Fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturing business as a Buyer in East Kent. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Duties for this role include:
- Negotiating with suppliers on products and contract reviews.
- Finding new suppliers and growing the business.
- Analysing inventory and sales levels.
- Optimising the supply chain.
- Liaising with customers and updating them on their order progress.
- Maximising and improving service levels; ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.
- Liaising this custom clearance agents for overseas deliveries.
- Completing import and export documentation.
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Previous experience working in a similar buying/purchasing role within manufacturing.
- CIPS qualified or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong and varied negotiation skills.
- Detail orientated with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient using Excel.
- Due to the location of the role, you will need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
The successful candidate will be joining a strong workforce where employees tend to stay with the business for decades due to the company culture.
