Marketing Manager

Here at Ruby Energy, we continue to grow our team and we have another newly created position available for a Marketing Manager to join our team based at our offices in Fleetwood.

The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing our communication strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. This role involves liaising between the company and our external agency partners to align efforts and maximise the impact of our communications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, excellent project management skills and the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with organisational goals. Collaborate with senior management to ensure communication strategies support business objectives.
  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and produce content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media, website content and internal communications. Oversee the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and other collateral.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, manage enquiries and press releases.
  • Digital and Social Media Management: Manage the organisation's digital presence, including websites, and social media platforms. Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance engagement and brand awareness. Analyse and report on digital performance metrics.
  • I_nternal Communications:_ Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure employees are informed and engaged. Manage internal communication channels, such as the intranet.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication platforms. Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications reflect the organisation's values and voice.
  • C_ommunications Budget:_ Manage the communications budget and ensure cost effective use of resources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and community organisations. Manage communication with stakeholders to enhance engagement and support.
  • Project Management: Oversee communication projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and contractors as needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies. Prepare and present reports to senior management on communication initiatives and outcomes.

Requirements to be considered:

  • Experience in a similar industry or sector would be advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of communication analytics and metrics.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the digital industry.
  • Hold extensive knowledge of website platforms, user experience, content management systems, SEO, and PPC/AdWords strategies.
  • Able to build and maintain strong client and team relationships.
  • Confident in communicating and presenting at all levels with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to think laterally and remain open-minded.
  • Take pride in your work and maintain accountability.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a marketing, communications or public relations role.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
