Our client, a respected organisation, is seeking a Senior Audit Advisor to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant with substantial experience to provide expert advice and support complex and high-profile investigations.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Audit Advisor:
- Provide audit expertise to support casework and strategy in complex investigations.
- Advise on potential non-compliance with auditing standards, ethical guidelines, and quality control.
- Collaborate with forensic accountants and legal professionals to guide investigation focus and strategy.
- Review complex audit files and firm-wide policies to identify issues and provide recommendations.
- Draft comprehensive reports and advisory memoranda on complex accounting and auditing issues.
- Evaluate the significance of identified breaches and assess the reasonableness of audit judgments.
- Advise on the need for external expertise and evaluate external expert findings.
- Ensure investigations are conducted professionally and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key essentials of the Senior Audit Advisor:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with substantial experience at a director level or above in auditing listed and public interest entities.
- Strong technical auditing and accounting skills, with experience in high-profile audits.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts for non-accounting audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in regulatory or disciplinary processes is advantageous.
