The MAS Business Operations Group is looking for a driven leader to undertake a fulfilling role as the Programme Interface Team Leader. Utilising your leadership skills and experience in coordinating technical experts and customer relationships, you will be an integral part of the organisation, ensuring focus on delivery and customer engagement.

The successful candidate will work closely with all our internal customers areas to ensure effective communication of service delivery, whilst enabling increased confidence in performance by developing and implementing capability health supporting metrics. They will work in the development of, and management of, Service Level Agreements, order book, reporting and metrics for the Materials and Analytical Science area. The role requires routine engagement with both internal Science and external Programme/Tech Centre stakeholders.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet operational plans
  • Assessing staff performance, measured against agreed personal objectives and accountabilities, and taking corrective action to improve performance where necessary via appropriate management interventions
  • The technical quality of the work undertaken by the team and/or teams through appropriate internal (i.e. with Subject Matter Experts) and external reviews
  • Ensuring that the work undertaken by the team is consistent with AWE strategy, policies, processes, procedures, and quality standards while minimising risk to delivery of the Integrated Technical Programme
  • Knowledge capture in order to maintain, share, preserve and protect IP
  • Undertaking other duties as reasonably required from time to time by line and task management
  • Maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
  • Scoping, leading and delivering multi-functional and focussed tasks
  • The conversion of business data into required management information and high-level reporting
