Medway has embarked on introducing Signs of Safety as our practice model - we are keen to develop our strengths and relationship-based practice. We are looking for a Child Protection Chair who is curious and has children at the very heart of all they do. You will have the ability to develop strong professional relationships that support quality practice for our children and young people and be confident to challenge when this is not the best it can be.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience of social work with significant experience and understanding of child protection practice.
The role forms part of the wider Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service in Medway and very much has a part to play in the quality assurance of practice. This role will be responsible for driving good practice and quality assurance through quality assuring the effectiveness and impact of interventions on children and young people with a Child Protection Plan.

- A basic salary of £48,696 to £52,959 per annum
- An annual market allowance of £7,000 per annum (payable in monthly payments)
- A retention payment of £3,000. This is a fixed sum payable in April each year, following one years' service in Medway.
