A design and manufacturing company are seeking a supervisor to join their head office to oversee the shipping and logistics operations. Overseeing a small team, you will take responsibility for and ownership of onward product delivery processes reporting into the Logistics Manager.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring up to date transparency of all shipments within the team
- Providing business updates on shipments to support revenue recognition
- Managing a team of 3 and their day to day team tasks
- Ensuring all shipments are commercially clear & compliant with export controls
- Handling escalations
- Training & support for direct reports with regular 1-2-1's
Suitable applicants will have a background in logistics and an understanding of product shipment procedures and ideally Letters of Credit. Previous team lead experience and excellent organisation skills but with a keenness to learn and develop. Demonstration of prioritisation within a multi-function role is important with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial departments.
