Parker Young is thrilled to be partnering with Cartwright & Butler, the quintessentially British brand synonymous with teatime luxuries and seriously delicious gifts, to find their next Head of Marketing.

As the Head of Marketing, you will be the driving force behind the brand's mission to become the go-to British name for teatime indulgence and luxurious gifts. You will lead the charge in accelerating growth across both national and international markets. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that not only extend Cartwright & Butler's brand reach but also ensure a consistent and impactful presence across all channels.

You'll have the chance to make a tangible impact quickly, building a robust lead generation and sales support engine while steering the company toward double-digit revenue growth and you'll have the privilege of leading a young, dynamic marketing team, mentoring and inspiring them to reach new heights of creativity and excellence.

Your role will be pivotal in nurturing talent and fostering a culture of innovation that drives the brand forward.

Core Objectives

  • Support double-digit revenue growth within core national retailers (including online retail channels) through joint promotional partnerships and high-impact marketing campaigns.
  • Build our international market presence and optimize sales conversion.
  • Grow the corporate gifting sector through a robust lead generation, nurture, and sales support engine.
  • Grow our DTC e-commerce channel, optimizing profitability and leveraging our consumer site to build brand presence.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of marketing strategies and 12-month rolling marketing activity plans by sector.
  • Develop a long-term marketing plan for the organization's brand to deliver consistent brand presence, extend brand reach, and engagement across all online and offline marketing channels.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a young marketing team comprising 3 direct reports.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis, integrating market research, customer insights, trends, and competitor tracking into the NPD process and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets, forecasts, and marketing team resources.
  • Track, analyse, and report on marketing metrics and business KPIs.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a major brand or high-growth business, spanning marketing strategies and campaigns across retail and digital channels.
  • Thrive working with people and build strong relationships across multiple functions, customer marketing teams, and external partners.
  • Adept at managing multiple high-paced workstreams across diverse activities with tight deliverables.
  • Experience with multiple marketing channels, including customer marketing, event management, merchandising, direct-to-consumer marketing, PR, e-commerce, retail, and digital marketing.
  • Confident and trustworthy, with excellent communication skills and a talent for delivering results through people.
  • Strong analytical approach with the ability to connect and consolidate multiple data sources and insights to drive decision-making.
  • Office-based preferred, with some opportunities for hybrid working.
