Accelerate Teaching is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Religious Education at a highly regarded secondary school in Leeds. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to inspire and educate students in the field of Religious Education, starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that stimulates curiosity and promotes an inclusive understanding of various religions and worldviews.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical inquiry, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enhance the overall educational experience for students.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics.
