About Us:
We are working with an Ofsted Outstanding Lewisham Primary School that is looking for a Learning Support Assistant for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on fostering high-quality, authentic relationships. With the start of a new academic year, the SLT are now looking for an ambitious Learning Support Assistant to join the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in supporting SEN pupils.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when required.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a Teaching Assistant.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the National Curriculum and its implementation.
- Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
