We are seeking a professional to lead the IT Business Analysis team. This role involves conducting continuous reviews of business processes and delivering major organisational process improvement initiatives. Description

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Team Management: Oversee the IT Business Analysis team, ensuring motivation and achievement of objectives through good management practices. Develop the team's skills in line with professional development requirements, including program and project management.
  • Resource Leadership: Lead additional contract resources for major initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Chair the working group for the practice, fostering effective communication between IT and business teams.
  • IT Development: Partner with various teams to design and oversee IT developments.
  • Service Catalogue: Design a service catalogue process, including detailed "as is" and "to be" process maps.
  • Project Management: Define deliverables, resource requirements, and work plans for IT projects, managing their development and delivery. Identify and secure additional resources as necessary.
  • Change Management: Lead the IT Change Management process, manage the IT Change Advisory Board, and administer the IT Change Request process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a continuous service improvement culture within IT to adapt to the evolving business environment.
  • Governance Support: Assist with IT governance to ensure compliance with legislative and policy changes.

Profile

  • Business Process Expertise: Demonstrable skills in business process analysis and re-engineering, improving administrative processes, and maximising productivity, efficiency, and transparency.
  • Management Experience: Proven line management skills, including performance management in project and operational environments, and experience in coaching, teaching, or training others.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, including listening, negotiating, and interpreting. Capable of building rapport and reaching agreements across various communication mediums (face-to-face, phone, email, reports).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in designing and executing engagement plans for key stakeholders, working with cross-functional colleagues to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Improvement Identification: Ability to identify improvement opportunities in business processes and methodologies, seeking alignment with related initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving: Logical thinker with a track record of researching, investigating issues, and problem-solving, including analysing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing the best fit.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independence and Initiative: Self-driven, results-oriented with a focus on high quality. Able to work independently and effectively, using own initiative to deliver projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Expertise in continuous improvement management, including knowledge of Lean Kaizen operational processes and procedures.
