We are currently on the lookout for an experienced programmer with porting experience for an open position with one of our partner studios.

About Our Parter Studio: Our client, a leader in porting services for the games industry, is expanding and seeking a skilled Game Porting Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, with potential for a permanent role.

Role Overview: This position is perfect for a versatile developer passionate about game porting. You'll work remotely on a range of projects, with occasional visits to the London office for team building. You'll also step in for the lead developer during absences, helping guide the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Porting & Optimization: Lead Switch porting, focusing on memory optimization for a game similar to Animal Crossing.
  • Apple Development: Finalize the Apple iOS porting library, manage iCloud save data for Apple Arcade, and port to Vision Pro.
  • Team Collaboration: Work on Epic Game Store ports for major titles, ensuring top performance.
  • Tool Development: Contribute to console porting tools with a focus on automation and AI-driven quality assurance.
  • Leadership Support: Occasionally fill in for the lead developer, guiding the team and making key decisions.

Skills & Experience:

  • Unity: Experience in Unity for games and tools.
  • Source Control: Strong knowledge of Git.
  • Apple Apps: Experience with Unity for Apple apps and necessary native code.
  • Bonus Skills: Web app development, C++, and Unreal Engine experience are a plus.
