Are you an experience HR Professional with experience or wanting to be a Team Leader?

We are looking for a proactive HR & Recruitment Services Team Leader to manage our HR Services team. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of an outstanding recruitment and induction service, manage salary and benchmarking surveys, and provide advice on recruitment, contractual, and family-friendly matters. This role is integral to supporting the delivery of the Group's People Strategy and requires a leader who can maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Day to Day of the Role of a HR & Recruitment Services Team Leader

  • Lead and develop the HR Services team to deliver a customer-focused service.
  • Conduct salary assessments, job evaluations, and participate in Appointment Panels for post approvals.
  • Act as the main point of contact with external agencies, negotiating contracts and targeting hard-to-fill vacancies.
  • Develop and manage relationships with internal recruiting managers to meet their recruitment needs.
  • Review and update Recruitment & Selection policies and procedures, and train managers on their implementation.
  • Oversee the HR induction process for new starters.
  • Utilise the HR Management Information System for reporting, statistical analysis, and data accuracy.
  • Undertake project or case work as directed by the Director of HR and/or HR Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and manual files to meet audit requirements.
  • Administer new staff and job changes effectively and within agreed timescales.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the HR role :

  • Proven experience in HR within a large organisation.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Experienced with i-Trent and Vacancy Filler
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, including the Equality Act 2010.
  • Proficiency in HR policies and procedures and HR systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CIPD qualified Level 5, with GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Current membership of the CIPD.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to research, analyse, and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in an education environment ( Not essential )
