Financial Reporting Director

We are seeking an inspiring Financial Reporting Director to lead our accounting, tax, financial and regulatory reporting teams. In this key leadership role, you will be influencing key strategic and operational decisions, and controlling financial reporting to important external stakeholders. You'll be reporting directly to the Chief Financial & Resources Officer and working closely with the executive team, audit committee and other key internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Performance: Ensure timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting, provide strategic financial advice, and produce exemplary annual and half accounts .
  • Business Assurance: Maintain robust financial controls, ensure compliance with statutory regulations, and oversee a well-planned and executed audit, tax and compliance framework, fostering a constructive relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • People Leadership: Inspire and lead the accounting, reporting, tax and financial control teams, driving staff engagement and retention. Ensure teams are well-trained and supported to deliver high-quality service.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Qualified Accountant: You must hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a current practicing certificate.
  • Extensive Experience: At least 7-10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in building and leading high performingfinance teams.
  • Audit Management: Significant experience managing audit processes and working with external auditors.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory regulations, compliance, tax, and VAT.
