Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000 pa depending on experience

The opportunity:

MBDA's international footprint continues to grow. As a result the international assignments team is expanding to meet the demand for international HR support not just for the increasing number of international assignments but also with regard to international HR support to our overseas satellite offices.

We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic International Assignments Advisor/HR professional who has experience is international HR and/or assignments to join a small UK based International Assignments team in our multi-national defence systems business.

Your primary focus will be managing UK outbound assignments and deployments to the various countries where MBDA operates and supports our customers. In addition, you will support the HR Manager – Group International and Assignments in providing International HR support as and when required to the local national teams within our overseas satellite offices.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist advice to and consulting with internal customers (individual employees/assignees, Line Managers, HR colleagues as well as other stakeholders in the assignment process), in relation to the application and interpretation of MBDA International Assignment Policies.
  • Developing and maintaining key internal stakeholder relationships e.g. with Client Facing HR Colleagues, Finance, Tax, Security (to name only few) to achieve the efficient and compliant deployment of MBDA UK employees by effectively liaising across such functional teams.
  • Supporting international overseas satellite office local teams with HR processes/activities (e.g. recruitment, annual compensation reviews, local HR policy implementation)

What we're looking for from you:

  • Experience in Expatriation Taxation and Social Security
  • Knowledge of UK immigration procedures for inbound assignees
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Take ownership , work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Being pro-active and able to take initiative
  • Build Trust and develop effective relationships (with internal customers and external suppliers)
  • Previous Corporate experience working in International HR, Assignments or Global Mobility

Whilst not essential, the following would be beneficial

  • A higher education/qualification
  • Experience of using Excel (i.e. basic formula writing, data input)
  • Involvement in supporting an expatriate payroll (i.e. preparing payroll instructions, interacting with payroll provider on queries etc.).
  • A flexible attitude with an eagerness to learn and continuously improve our processes and ways of working
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet business need.
