Location: Bury
Salary: £35 - £45k
Hours: Full-Time (34 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our reputable client based in Bury. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to join a global business in a vital role that requires an in-depth understanding of how payroll operates within a business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process monthly and weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and deadlines.
  • Manage payrolled P11Ds, recording private healthcare and healthcare cash plans appropriately during month-end.
  • Process all benefits in kind (e.g., company cars, fuel cards) and maintain accurate records of company vehicles.
  • Upload monthly pension contributions and maintain related administration (pensions, death in service, etc.).
  • Input all starters, leavers, and changes into HR and payroll systems.
  • Liaise with finance on cost centre migrations.
  • Send the Employer Payment Summary (EPS) to HMRC within specific timescales, ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage the apprentice levy and ensure correct payments.
  • Coordinate with local managers, HR, and accounting to ensure accurate variable pay data (e.g., overtime) and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage the Mitrefinch time, attendance, and payroll system, including report generation.
  • Create and maintain process maps and procedures for all payroll processes.
  • Process employee share schemes in compliance with tax legislation.
  • Handle annual salary reviews.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience with full end-to-end Payroll Processing,
  • An in-depth understanding of Payroll Systems and their Set Up - specific experience of Mitrefinch would be advantageous but isn't essential,
  • Strong knowledge of current payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
