The successful QTS Teaching Assistantwill be supporting KS1 and KS2 students in the Barnwood Primary school, from literacy, phonics and numeracy on the national curriculum.
YOU will learn what it means to be a Teacher, how to support the KS1/KS2 students.
Students in the Barnwood Primary school may have SEN/range of complex needs, varying from autism (ASD), speech and language issues, processing sensory disorders, physical disabilities and communication complications. For Primary aged students, supporting the KS1 and KS2 curriculum. Excellent for graduates to gain invaluable real-life, hands on experience.

Within the QTS Teaching Assistant role, you will learn about:
- The cognitive, behavioural and emotional needs of each student and how to tailor to each individual student.
- You'll gain invaluable experience to identify triggers and barriers to learning, key to actively implement psychological theory, in classroom settings.
- Offer small group or on a 1-2-1 basis, suitable for a Primary school aged student.
- Create and encourage a cohesive culture/environment for the students - in the classroom and other playground settings. Safety is paramount for this Barnwood, Gloucester Primary school, whilst encouraging and presenting Education in a fun manner!
Teacher training opportunities after the contract term, for candidates showing interest in getting their QTS qualification.
