We are inviting applications for Head of Sales position for an international Bank based in city of London. This position directly reports to the Senior Management with the Bank and all Retal branches report to this position .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set sales and activity targets for branches and individuals based on the growth strategy of the Bank.
  • Monitor achievement against targets and develop & implement strategies for any underperformance to be corrected
  • Conduct regular reviews of branches to ensure sales and related processes are being conducted in a compliant and professional manner
  • Facilitate coaching & training for the branch network for sales & service
  • Review & agree individual branch strategies for business development including new product launches
  • Responsible for the training, development and optimum performance of direct reports ensuring that staff are well trained and equipped with the necessary tools to achieve goals
  • Plan, implement and drive team building initiatives to enhance positive team morale and establish and maintain staff motivation.
  • Conducts performance reviews of direct reports
  • Responsible for performance and absence management and the implementation of performance improvement plans where necessary
  • Attends events where necessary to promote the Bank.
  • Collates & calculates performance information for bonus purposes for processing by HR
  • Collates & authorises Saturday working payments for processing by HR
  • Responsible for liaison with HR Department to ensure manpower numbers are maintained
  • Stakeholder management - for example credit, operations, compliance, wholesale banking, products & marketing, internal audit
  • An active member of UK committees as required from time to time - particularly product committee, pricing committee & marketing committee

  • Experienced lender, with practical knowledge of relevant UK products, procedures & legislation

  • Key stakeholder manager - at all levels both internally & externally.
  • Understanding of UK compliance legislation such as related to AML & TCF with experience of practical application
  • A can do attitude and a willingness to drive changes in attitudes & working practices
  • Substantial on the job experience of UK Retail Banking, particularly in the personal & high net worth market
  • Enhanced banking sales & relationship management experience from a UK banking background
