LondonEnergy Ltd (LEL) is a leading Energy from Waste company based in north London, contracted to the North London Waste Authority (NLWA) to provide waste management services to the seven north London Boroughs.

What does the future look like?

LondonEnergy's legacy buildings are in the process of being upgraded with modern recycling facilities. These facilities will play a key role in the UK's transition to carbon net-zero. A major part of this transition is a focus on embedding data driven decision making and asset management best practice across the business.

Job Description:

The Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for driving asset management best practice and compliance into the LEL business, helping increase asset management maturity along the path to ISO 55001 certification as well as through the increased use of data driven decision making.

This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver lasting change and set LEL for asset management success going forwards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business improvement initiatives targeted increased engagement from the whole of the LEL business, Energy Centre and Waste Operations to enable NLWA & LEL's Asset Management Plan & Strategy
  • Develop and implement governance processes to ensure all planning activities and deliverables are meeting the requirements of LEL and its stakeholders.
  • Responsible for compilation of the asset class strategies and asset management plans for LEL
  • Prepare LEL for success in gaining ISO5001 accreditation.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training programs to educate staff on data driven decision making and Asset Management best practice
  • Drive and support data driven decision making throughout the business
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, making adjustments as necessary to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Serve as a change agent by effectively communicating the rationale for process improvements and gaining buy-in from stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, results, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, define project scope, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Asset Management Intranet sites such that it is a resource for the business to use as a self service mechanism for both software and process specific training and to further their asset management knowledge
  • Risk Coordinator for Asset Management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, a STEM subject or a related field.
  • Experience in process improvement, business process reengineering, or related roles.
  • A strong understanding of Asset Management, ideally the IAM Diploma qualification
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • The salary is competitive, £50,000.00 - £55,000.00 depending on experience
