Operations Oversight Analyst

Job specification:

  • Collaborate with line management to create an annual activity plan based on the strategic plan, focusing on timing and high-level deliverables to enhance customer experience.
  • Under line management, manage daily activities within budget through regular review and monitoring of operations, goodwill, and compensation payments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring oversight meets external regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse data to develop action plans and recommendations.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks through data analysis and policy alignment, highlighting trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Understand the company's handbook, policies, relevant legislation, and market best practices, ensuring a sound grasp of business processes and outsourced service operations.
  • Collaborate with internal functions, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and incidents, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as reasonably requested.

Person specification:

  • Relevant education/professional management or industry-related qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; able to effectively communicate with all business levels internally and externally.
  • Strong team player, adept at building relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and business partners.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of operational and conduct risk principles, especially in financial services operations, including service processes, provision, and sales channels.
  • General knowledge of regulated, compliant business environments and control measures.
  • Preferably experienced in financial services or a related service sector.
  • Experience managing multiple functional areas and stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Knowledgeable about legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to customer data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
