Assistant Accountant

We are currently seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant for an ongoing temporary role based in Ramsgate. This position offers up to £20.99 per hour for the right candidate, with the possibility of a permanent contract depending on work performance and workload. The ideal candidate must be able to drive due to the location of the role and must be immediately available, as the start date is within the next week.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank statements and ledger accounts.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Processing payroll and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management abilities.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own transport.
- Must be immediately available to start within the next week.
