Location: Midlands - Home Working

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:15 (daily flexi working hours)

Job Purpose

To pro actively develop regional sales in the UK for Telecom products. This role involves understanding market changes and competitor activities, and reporting these to the management team. The successful candidate will work with positive energy and team spirit to maximize efficiency and increase sales.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Pro-actively develop regional UK sales
  • Speciality Sales: Develop speciality splicing sales for the UK market.
  • Reporting: Provide timely activity and sales reports for your area of responsibility.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts for your area of responsibility.
  • Seminar Support: Support fusion splicing seminar days as required.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup support to UK and European business as needed.
  • Event Support: Support UK & Overseas exhibitions, conferences, and seminars, including EU distributor seminars.
  • Customer Engagement: Pro-actively identify potential customers in the region and maintain regular visits to key customers.
  • Client Relationships: Build an understanding of client's projects and networks, establishing strong relationships to gain information beyond just product demonstrations.
  • Tender Support: Assist in the preparation and support of tender documents.
  • Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, as required and attend related meetings.

  • Other Contacts: Customers, distributors, sales managers, sales administrators, credit control, stock controller, head office in Japan

Knowledge

  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with splicer products and Test & Measurement products.
