A small yet impactful consultancy, renowned for their involvement in both building and civil engineering projects domestically and internationally, is seeking a CDM Advisor to join their dedicated team. This consultancy has successfully delivered projects ranging from minor repairs on Measured Term Contracts to significant ventures valued up to £500 million, utilizing a mix of traditional and innovative procurement routes.
The CDM Advisor Role
The successful CDM Advisor will join a team committed to ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across a diverse range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on various projects, providing comprehensive CDM and health and safety advisory services from inception through to completion. The CDM Advisor will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and promoting best practices in design and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on their duties under CDM regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of pre-construction information.
- Conduct design risk reviews and provide input on hazard elimination.
- Review and approve construction phase plans.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Deliver CDM training and workshops to clients and design teams.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate health and safety into the design and construction processes.
The CDM Advisor:
- Degree in a construction-related field.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Membership with IOSH or APS is desirable.
- Extensive experience in providing CDM advisory services.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and CDM 2015.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools.
