Environmental Services Assistant Nightshift, SIA Licensed - Metrocentre

Purpose of the Role

The ESA Nightshift (SIA) is accountable to the Nightshift Duty Manager for the delivery of cleaning and security services.

You will ensure exemplary standards of cleaning and excellent customer service are provided to customers at all times. You will also be compliant with all statutory, contractual and company regulations and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver all cleaning, security and waste operations within the shopping centre
  • Ensure that the centre meets the cleaning KPI standard required by the client
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers
  • Ensure compliance with all internal procedures, site processes and external bodies including enforcement agencies and auditory bodies
  • To work as part of the team to achieve the highest possible standards of service delivery
  • Maintain high standards of performance and discipline
  • To ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant H&S regulations
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
  • To deliver high levels of customer satisfaction for cleaning, waste and security.
  • Ensure a timely response to all issues and events
  • To form part of the centres first aid provision
  • To patrol the centre in line with the centre security assignment instructions
  • To work closely with stakeholder organisations to deliver the centres crime prevention policy
  • Be compliant with all internal procedures and site processes

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • A basic knowledge of Health & Safety
  • SIA License

Desirable

  • Experience in use of various cleaning machines and equipment to achieve the high standards of cleanliness required, including scrubber driers, pressure washers, escalator cleaning machines and any other equipment necessary to clean the centre
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment

Working Hours - 40 hours per week (5 out of 7 days)

Salary - £25,896
