An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic business development professional to join the BASW UK Team on a permanent basis.
About the job
You will provide business development leadership to support our ambitious plans working collaboratively with teams from across the association. This will include preparing and writing tender responses and business proposals to develop new sources of income.
You will support the delivery of our annual business plan and explore opportunities for further partnership development. You will also be the operational lead for our, not for profit and ethical employment company Social Work Employment Services driving further growth and expansion of the business.
This is a great development opportunity for an experienced candidate from a business development background in the not-for-profit sector.
**What we need from you
- Significant experience of identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities and in writing successful tender responses and business proposals.
- Extensive expertise in business planning and strategy development.
- Confidence in managing stakeholder relationships and building strategic partnerships.
- An ability to build capacity and capability across different teams to bring insight to the use of business development processes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of working in demanding situations with conflicting time scales and priorities.
