Are you a talented and experienced chef looking to lead a hardworking group of people in one of the South West's popular seaside destinations? We are seeking a Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to take charge of our clients busy kitchens and deliver outstanding culinary experiences to their visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchens.
- Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships, ensuring the use of local and fresh ingredients.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and scheduling, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and minimize waste.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen during peak times, especially weekends and holidays.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar role.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage and inspire a kitchen team.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy tourist seasons.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and costs.
- A creative flair for menu development, understanding of dietary needs, and the ability to cater to various tastes.
