Accounts / Client Services Team Leader - Hertfordshire (Hybrid) - c£50k + Package

We're working with an award winning, medium sized, long established managing agent based in Borehamwood whose portfolio sits exclusively within London and the Home Counties.

In an effort to continually improve their client services, they now seek an Accounts Team Leader as follows:

  • Working predominantly home based (4 days per week), but reporting into a Borehamwood office base as required (1 day per week max).
  • Managing the Accounts team which comprises 7 staff split between Credit Control, Cashiers and Accounts Payable (you must have a successful track record managing teams of staff)
  • Overseeing escalated debt recovery, including referral to solicitors & court as required
  • Ensuring compliance with RICS Client Money guidelines
  • Reviewing, improving and streamlining accounting processes to ensure a better client experience
  • In-house system is QUBE, experience of this would be highly beneficial
  • Liaison with clients, management of internal staff and reporting directly to other heads of teams within the business
  • Good all round service charge & ground rent knowledge, though you will not be directly involved in service charge budgeting
  • You will have advanced Excel skills, excellent numeracy, a can-do attitude and ideally (but not essentially) a related professional accreditation (i.e. AAT, ACCA, related degree etc.)

The successful Accounts Team leader can expect a starting basic salary up to £50k (reviewed on tenure and performance), 5 weeks holiday (plus public), study support and an extensive health & wellbeing package post probation.
