Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and skilled Science Technician to join a dynamic school in Bradford. This is a long term opportunity, with the potential of temp to perm, providing an excellent pathway to a permanent role within the school.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lab Preparation: Set up and prepare laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
  • Practical Support: Assist teachers and students during experiments, ensuring safety and smooth execution.
  • Maintenance: Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the lab, including regular maintenance of equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels of chemicals and science resources.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.

**Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous laboratory experience in an educational or scientific setting is essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant science qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A-Levels, or a degree in a scientific field).
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Safety Conscious: A solid understanding of health and safety protocols within a lab environment.
