Job Title: Prosecutions Lawyer
Location: Greater London
Duration: 3 months +
Working Pattern: Full Time (open to condensed working hours)
Working Arrangements: 2 days per week office attendance
Rate: up to£55 per hour (dependant upon experience)
Venn Group's specialist public sector legal team are in collaboration with a local authority based in London to recruit a Prosecutions Lawer into their team on an interim basis
The role of Prosecutions Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis and is a great chance for an ambitious person to join an outstanding local authority
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven tack record of at least 2 years of experience within the public sector handling Criminal Prosecutions
Duties Shall Include:
- Housing Act Prosecutions: Conduct prosecutions under the Housing Act 2004, ensuring legal compliance and effective case management
- Regulatory Crime: Handle cases involving regulatory crime, providing legal advice and representation in relevant matters
- Fraud: Manage and prosecute cases of fraud, applying thorough legal analysis and strategic thinking to achieve successful outcomes
- Advocacy: Perform advocacy in court, representing the council in various legal proceedings and ensuring robust representation
- Environmental Health Crime: Address cases related to environmental health crime, offering legal expertise and prosecutorial support to uphold public health standards
