Job Title: Logistics Manager
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + per annum depending on experience
Sector: Plant Hire Company, Construction or Builders Merchant advantageous, but non-essential
Our client are recruiting a Logistics Manager to work out of their Wythenshawe depot. The right person will have a proactive approach.
A person with experience in the plant hire sector would be an idea candidate for this position. The role also carries an above industry standard salary and bonus scheme.
Previous Construction-industry based experience would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite, as full training will be offered to the successful candidate.
As a Logistics Manager you will deal with all telephone & face to face enquiries and provide accurate information as required.
The Logistics Manager will Liaise with the workshop and drivers to ensure equipment required for hire is available, and the logistics involved with the transport to the customer etc.
As a Logistics Manager you will be expected to complete the following tasks on an ongoing basis:
- Co-ordinate Drivers to ensure equipment is delivered and collected from customers on time and efficiently
- Maximise sales at every opportunity
- Produce accurate and consistent reports
- Ensure all deadlines are met in relation to reporting of information
- Ensure availability and utilisation of fleet, both within the depot and through cooperation with other depots
