Employee Relations / Employee Engagement Lead HR Consultant - 6 month contract Hybrid

My client are looking for an HR Consultant with 6-10 years experience who is an expert in employee relations and employee engagement. Must be CIPD. (Role is Hybrid 2 days on site in London rest remote)

You will be responsible for supporting the International HR team and business on HR and Employee Relations matter to enhance the employee experience, mitigate against risk and help drive business results during a period of change/ transformation.

UK is the main area so they need someone very strong on UK employment laws as main priority and then if possible APAC employments laws like Singapore and India but UK is main area

Main function of the role is acting as the lead in these areas advising others in the team. (Team size is 8)

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting in the implementation of Employee Relations strategies, programs and policies which promote productive and positive relationships between managers, employees and co-workers by helping to prevent and resolve issues between individuals. Responsible for following ER related policies and procedures in a consistent and expedient manner to ensure that employees are treated fairly and actions taken are in compliance with Company policy and government regulations. In addition to handling day-to-day ER matters, also helps to educate appropriate audiences with the goal of minimizing legal risk, preventing the unfair treatment of employees and addressing ER issues. Will work on local ER projects and cross-functional ER projects. So good knowledge of UK employment laws is a priority.
  • Leads in the administration of L&D activities across the International locations through collaboration with the L&D COE and local HRC's.
  • Supports the local HRCs with change management efforts including supporting Integration activities as required such as data gathering, analytics, report writing, production of communications etc.
  • Designs and implements HR solutions to solve strategic business challenges and improving employee engagement
  • Supports the Intl HRD as needed

People Spec/ Qualifications

3 main skills are CIPD, Emloyee Relations and Employee Engagement

  • CIPD qualified and HR bachelors degree are minimum requirements. Financial Services/ Payments experiences preferred.
  • International experiences would be ideal, along with working for a US based organization. The candidate will need to be able to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders through our HR operating model.
  • Experience of operating in an M&A environment would be a bonus.
  • I am looking for an experienced HR practitioner who is able to manage a wide variety of Employee Relations matters as well as general cyclical HR activities such as talent management, analytics and employee engagement. The ability to thrive within an ambiguous and ever-changing environment is important given the potential upcoming M&A.
  • Demonstrates learning agility
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation, with the ability to apply sound judgment and discretion in HR decision-making

The role is a Hybrid role working 2 days on site in West London and the rest remote. Once every few months may need to spend a day or two in the Hampshire office.
