Accountable Executive is exclusively recruiting for a Finance Director for one of our key and highly successful clients based in Liverpool.

The Role
The Finance Director reporting into the Managing Director, is a key role in ensuring the overall effective financial management and performance of the company. In doing this, the FD will actively participate in the commercial financial planning and strategic growth decision making of the company while working very closely with the operational and commercial leaders, helping maintain and improve sales and profitability along the way.

Job Description
Main duties and responsibilities of the Finance Director include and aren't limited to :

  • Full financial responsibility for the organisation, providing financial guidance and leadership to the management team and board of directors to ensure commercial success.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate provision of monthly management accounts and provide strategic analysis to the Board.
  • Production of monthly management information packs and commentary to aid decision making.
  • Ensure the financial health and sustainability of the business via strong cash management and adequate funding provision.
  • Develop and roll out improved commercial dashboards and internal controls to aid the analysis of stock, pricing, margins, overheads and general costs.
  • Produce concise and accurate financial and operational reports including commercial insight and recommendations for improvements.
  • Play a key role within the project team as part of the medium and longer term strategic plan to improve/replace systems performance and output of data across the business.
  • Governance and strategic leadership including commercial support across the business.
  • Best-practice controls, policies and assurance.
  • Manage your finance time and drive best practice to enable finance to be a true business partner and value-added department.
  • Ensure the company meets all of its financial, regulatory, tax and legal responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with external professional advisors and bankers.

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be values-driven, energetic, and commercially astute. You will be equally comfortable with sleeves rolled up and "hands on" as well as taking a strategic view.
Essential experience includes :

  • Leadership and management of finance and wider commercial influence.
  • Leading, developing and evaluating financial feasibility studies for new contract wins/tenders.
  • Providing effective financial and business advice and support to the Directors, Board and senior leadership team.
  • Development and implementation of efficient and accessible management information, KPI tracking and reporting systems.
  • Showcase your track record in mentoring/managing other individuals and acting as a strong business partner in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with confidence and gravitas to build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong IT / ERP experience.
  • Fully Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA or ACCA

Remuneration

  • Salary £85,000-£120,000 - ( DOE ) plus benefits
  • Pension Scheme.
  • Bonus.
  • Office based ( hybrid will become available )
