Description
- Manage daily accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Participate in the annual audit process.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the department's budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
- Contribute to financial decision-making processes within the organisation.
- Support the management team with ad hoc financial tasks as required.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a not-for-profit or educational institution is preferable.
