Quality and Technical Team Leader - Dispensing Optician

A leading Optical manufacturer based in Wrexham are looking for a full time Quality and Technician Team Leader to join the team.

As a qualified Dispensing Optician you will work as part of the Customer Services Team providing technical advice to both internal colleagues and external customers across the UK.

Dispensing Optician - Typical duties involve;

  • To work in line with the business objectives and ensure that key performance indicators are met
  • To identify and implement process improvements related to Quality returns that will improve service and communication to Eye Care Practitioners.
  • To produce monthly reports for production and non-production related customer return rates to feed into the management review
  • To develop a high understanding of both internal and external customer needs
  • To continue to develop an empowered team to own problems and actively seek solutions
  • Support the team in introducing new systems and processes
  • To project manage relevant new processes that will improve the overall service offer to ECP's
  • To answer technical questions and queries that may be given by ECP's
  • To train the customer service team to answer technical questions
  • To run the staff frame clinic.

Dispensing Optician - Requirements

  • Qualified Dispensing Optician
  • High level understanding of Customer Service processes
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Relevant personal development activities; ILM, NVQ, supervisory training.
  • Good IT skills.

Dispensing Optician - Salary and Additional Info

  • Salary between £32,000 to £35,000
  • Mainly Monday to Friday - 8.45am to 5.14pm
  • Only 1 in 4 Sats required
  • 45 minute lunch
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Life assurance
  • Full time in the office
  • Team of 35 people within the customer service team
