The Role

You will support colleagues in promoting the work they do through the creation and use of creative and engaging material to be distributed across social, print, and broadcast media. You will also own internal communication and encourage a culture of positivity and engagement. As a result, this will promote the great work they do, maximise their internal and external brand, and align with the vision and values of our client.

Please note that all roles with our client requires a satisfactory DBS check.

Key Tasks:

  • Manage their social media channels by effectively planning, designing, and publishing targeted creative content.
  • Draft articles blogs, press stories, and create multimedia content for various channels.
  • Manage the website, ensuring that content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Maximise our client's brand by utilising multimedia.
  • Manage the production of publicity or marketing material with external suppliers.
  • Lead on internal and external communications in line with the brand guidelines.
  • Proactively engage with and build relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure media coverage and build their public profile.
  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming media enquiries or staff communications queries.
  • Evaluate all marketing activity to establish performance and impact, making suggestions and changes as appropriate.
  • Actively follow industry and mental health news and draft responses/comments where applicable for sign-off.
  • Assist in the planning and promotion of various campaigns including major events.
  • Lead in collating information and writing copy for the annual review.
  • Proactively source opportunities for marketing activity including interviews, partnerships, and media.
  • Maintain a library for press cuttings and media exposure so a history can be retained.
  • Identify issues that could potentially damage their reputation and recommend actions to mitigate this risk.
  • Engage and train staff in tools to help their work, such as social media and Canva.
  • With support, ensure that marketing spend is within agreed budget.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully utilising social media.
  • Experience of achieving high results from content creation.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to captivate an audience.
  • High level of attention to detail resulting in accurate work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to maximise participation and engagement from stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of using design tools such as Canva.
  • Experience of working with journalists/press.
