Key Objective:
To provide technical training and re-certification to Mould Shop personnel, while motivating and developing team members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical training, guidance, and support across all areas of the Mould Shop.
- Ensure the department's training and re-training requirements comply with regulatory standards.
- Achieve training targets and KPIs.
- Participate in process improvement projects with the Technical Team.
- Maintain and update training records and the training matrix.
- Provide feedback for necessary updates to processes and ensure team members are trained, assessed, and certified on the latest versions.
- Conduct regular trainee reviews to ensure procedural compliance.
- Conduct role-specific training for all operatives within specified timeframes.
- Collaborate with technical process engineers on new processes and ways of working.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills needed:

Knowledge of injection moulding processes, including:
-
IMM control systems (Engel/Demag, etc.)
-
Correct tool hanging procedures
-
Ability to set IMM using existing data, ensuring mould safety, clamp force, safe startup, and robot setup

Troubleshoot basic moulding issues (shorts, blistering, flash, silvering)

Assess appropriate barrel/tool temperatures for relevant material

Understanding of scientific moulding techniques for process optimization

Strong communication and organizational skills

Proficient with IT and computer systems

Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations

Ability to plan and adapt training schedules

Approachable, patient, and able to treat people as individuals to ensure effective training

Passionate about learning and improving the skills of operatives

Adaptable, flexible, and open to change
Experience:
- Experience in injection moulding and the automotive sector
- At least one year's experience in a result-driven manufacturing environment
- Excellent team player and communicator with attention to detail
- Ability to achieve results while maintaining quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Please note: The working hours are day shift hours which total 39 hours per week and the role is based in between Portsmouth and Fareham.
