Events Exhibition Assistant 2 year FTC

We have registered a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an organised and detail focussed Events Exhibitions Assistant to assist our client's busy Events team with the planning, logistics and delivery of their large scale conference taking place in August & September in 2026.

Events Exhibition Responsibilities

Alongside other members of the events team. Your role will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Assisting with exhibition and sponsorship organisation
  • Attending partner events for engagement and promotion of the client's event
  • Updating the events section of the website
  • Liaising with corporate members and sponsors, acting as a point of contact for queries and organisation.
  • Assisting with corporate meetings.

The Company

Our client is a charity that provides research and development services within the scientific community.

Events Exhibition Experience

Our client is looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, proactive and has a collaborative work ethic
  • A clear communicator and able to engage and communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
  • An effective time keeper, able to prioritise their work load and has a flexible approach to problem solving

Demonstrable experience of working in the events industry is vital, and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team is required. A good working knowledge of MS Office is desired and you must be able to use basic formulae in Excel and be able to format documents in word. You will be educated to A-level standard or qualified by relevant experience.

This is a full time, two year fixed term contract role, working 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday during the core hours of 10am – 4pm. They offer free (paid for by the company) car parking at public car parks (St Clements would be the closest)

The company are currently working in a hybrid style arrangement with two days at the office.

Occasional evening and weekend work will be require during this roll, you will be given your time spent working beyond your core hours back in lieu.

Commitment to this role is key, and you must be able to attend the event in Liverpool on 31st August – 4th September 2026.

There are 2 stages of interview:

  • An initial Zoom interview.
  • A 1.5 hour face-to-face competency based panel interview with an excel and word test.

The probation period consists of 6 months.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment vetting checks and must have the right to work in the UK.
