We're searching for an experienced Accounts Assistant to assist with all credit control duties and support the wider accounts and finance team.

Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming invoice queries, quickly providing resolutions or diverting them to the correct department
- Manage outstanding debts by contacting customers to request payments and set up payment plans
- Monitor debts and update accounts that have been placed on stop
- Issue debt collection procedures when payment hasn't been successfully collected
- Maintain the ledger by allocating incoming payments
- Create customer accounts and perform credit checks
- Reconcile banks, credit card, and fuel card statements
- Raise credit notes and invoices
- Post the cashbook
- Manage petty cash
- Undertake all accounts administration duties, which include entering data into the system and scanning and archiving documents
Accounts Assistant Skills and Experience:
- Experience gained in a similar role, either in an Accounts Assistant or a Sales Ledger role
- A proven track record of taking responsibility for credit control duties and confidence dealing with debt-collecting
- Strong IT skills with particular knowledge and experience in SAP, Proactis, Excel
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to successfully prioritise
- Superb communication skills, able to articulate well and communicate clearly
- Commercially aware and proactive, with a can-do attitude and a sense of fun
