Our client, a market leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded design engineer. With continued high levels of research and development, the company is consistently at the forefront of new technology and its equipment is highly regarded within the industry. You will be involved in the full design process of new projects and instrumental in all aspects of new product development. Working on a variety of exciting new design assignments this role offers an unrivalled chance for product variation and new technology design. Main duties and responsibilities:
Designing of purpose-built machinery and modifications to existing equipment:
- Accurate mechanical assemblies
- Structure and Guarding
Detailing of manufacturing drawings:
- Tooling engineering drawings
- Fabrication and sheet work drawings
Project management:
- Bill of Materials
- Assistance in compilation of Technical manuals
Essential qualifications:
- HNC or NQV4 in mechanical discipline
- GCSE math's and English
Experience required:
- Autodesk Inventor and Vault use
- Understanding of manufacturing process
