Qualified Social Worker - Stockport MBC, Greater Manchester - Family Finding Team

An opportunity has arisen to join the Family Finding team who work with our five partner local authorities to track and contribute to the planning for cared for children who may have a care plan of adoption. The role includes working in partnership with the social workers responsible for the child's care plan providing expert mentoring, advice and guidance upon adoption issues, overseeing the adoption progress of children and supporting the development of the Child Permanence Report.

We are seeking an experienced social worker who has a good understanding of the issues faced by children who have suffered trauma and the qualities needed in adoptive families to meet those needs. You should be a good communicator, a team player and be passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children.

Adoption Counts is a Regional Adoption agency, delivering adoption services in Cheshire East, Manchester, Salford, Stockport and Trafford local authorities.? Family Finders are based in spoke teams, this post is based in our Wythenshawe office and will and work across our designated local authorities. The journey of the child is integral to everything we do, including targeted recruitment of appropriate adopters.
