  • Salary: £28,637 - £37,681 per annum

Day to Day of the role of a Health and Social Care Lecturer :

  • Plan and prepare comprehensive schemes of learning and engaging lesson plans with clear aims and objectives.
  • Deliver learning through efficient classroom and online management, ensuring curriculum relevance and high-quality learner experience.
  • Monitor and assess learners' progress, maintaining up-to-date records in line with College policies.
  • Act as an Academic Progress Tutor/Educator, providing support and setting aspirational goals for learners.
  • Contribute to the overall quality processes for the programme area, including self-assessment and lesson observation schemes.
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with study programmes, such as conducting guidance interviews and participating in parents' events.
  • Provide academic, pastoral, and personal support for learners, potentially acting as Programme Manager.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses to create practical experience projects for students.
  • Organise and deliver workshops/bootcamps for community members.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Health and Social Care role:

  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and support learners.
  • Experience in planning, preparing, and delivering curriculum programmes.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current in the field.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, and diversity principles.
