Our client, a prominent accountancy firm experiencing ongoing growth, is looking for a dynamic Accounts Trainee to join their innovative Exeter team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Trainee, you will be responsible for building rapport with both colleagues and clients, and for providing exceptional support and customer service to a range of clients. The role is varied and will encompass preparing accounts, meeting deadlines, resolving issues, and maintaining clear records.
The responsibilities:
- Prepare basic accounts according to procedures.
- Complete assignments accurately and on time.
- Resolve assignment issues and inform your supervisor of unresolved problems.
- Record work clearly and concisely; ensure legible and well-presented papers.
- Proofread and authorize outgoing work per firm procedures.
- Update supervisors, managers, and partners on client dealings.
- Maintain daily time records on client affairs.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Promote the firm and attract new clients.
- Develop and maintain computer skills for effective work completion.
The candidate:
- Strong academic results: GCSEs including Maths and English (A*-C/9-5) and A Levels (or equivalent) with minimum grades of BBC.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to build rapport with colleagues and clients, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Organized and efficient in time management to meet deadlines.
